Building a Better Future

The Office of Rural and Farmworker Housing (ORFH) is a private, statewide nonprofit corporation that develops housing for farm workers and other rural, low-income residents of Washington State. ORFH provides direct, comprehensive, development services to local nonprofit corporations, housing authorities, municipalities and other organizations and individuals interested in developing farm worker housing.

Our primary focus is multi-family rental housing and related facilities such as day care, laundry and tenant/management meeting rooms. ORFH offers all the necessary services to obtain capital financing and assure the quality of both housing construction and management.

1,024 housing units on 93 sites developed in 23 communities serving a maximum of 5,588 farm workers, their dependents, and other rural low-income persons.

319 housing units currently in planning and development in 7 communities for approximately 1,131 additional farm workers and dependents.

Acquisition and preservation of existing housing developments and new construction to meet other rural housing needs.
