Marty
has been a valuable member of ORFH since 1993 and has directly participated in
the development of over 500 units in rural Washington
State serving
approximately 2,500 farmworkers and other low-income rural residents. Marty became ORFH’s Executive Director in 2004
after serving as the Director of Housing Development. Marty is a strong advocate at the federal,
state and local level and works to bring positive change to policy issues
affecting farmworkers and their families.
Marty is a member of the National Rural Housing Coalition's Board of Directors
and serves on their Farmworker Housing Committee. He is also a contributing
member of the National Farmworker Housing Directors’ Association. Marty participates on the State of Washington’s
Affordable Housing Advisory Board, Subcommittee on Farmworker Housing in
addition to the Policy Advisory Team of the Department of Community, Trade and
Economic Development and represents ORFH as member of the Washington Low Income
Housing Alliance.
