ORFH Policy Work
ORFH is active in representing the interests of rural sponsors at the federal and state level. ORFH’s Executive Director, Marty Miller, serves as the President of the National Farmworker Housing Director’s Association and is on the Board of the National Rural Housing Coalition, serving on their Farmworker Housing Committee.
Marty is also a member of the Washington State's Affordable Housing Advisory Board’s Policy Advisory Team.
Resources
In 2008 the Washington State Farmworker Housing Trust conducted an extensive survey of farmworkers throughout the state. Their findings were published in July of that year. Since then WSFHT has closed its doors and designated ORFH as the keeper of the survey. You can find the Executive Summary and complete “Sustainable Bounty” report below.
